|I took a year off and travelled - India, Nepal, Europe. In 1994 I started
in the Radio and Television Arts program at Ryerson Polytechnic University.
|I graduated with a BA in RTA in 1998.|
|In my third year, I started hosting a 6 hour block of programming called The Nook, for TVO. I did that for two years. While at TVO I developed content as well as programming for the station. I also worked as a creative consultant for Stuff, another show for kids, produced at TVO.|
|Over the past 6 years I've been to:
India, Nepal, Germany, Italy, Spain, the UK, East Coast, West Coast and Central Canada, LA, San Francisco, NYC, Jamaica, Mexico and this December - Morocco!
|After I graduated, I started on as a host/producer at Toronto
Star Television. Essentially, I was the liaison between the paper and the
station and produced promotions to complement all areas of the paper - editorial,
advertising, circulation, communications and promotions. Now I'm moving into a development position and working on growing an independent production department at the Star.
|I also run a production company with a partner. It's called
August Productions Incorporated. We are in the middle of
producing our first children's series, with delivery dates at TVO
and TFO for the spring of 2001. Very exciting! The series
is called Benjamin's Farm. At present I am working
on a pilot for a show for the web and television focusing on
Entertainment in Toronto.
